Family Tree by Barbara Delinsky (Anchor Books, 2007)
This is a great story about giving birth, race, social standing and family secrets. From the back of the book: "Dana Clarke has just given birth to her first child. The little girl is lovely, but no one can help noticing how little she resembles her parents. Dana's husband, among others, suspects that she may have had an affair. In order to put the rumors and speculation to rest, Dana has to delve deep into her past and her husband's heritage to unearth some uncomfortable secrets. Can her marriage survive what she discovers?"
Eye to Eye
A charming narrative told through the eyes of two best friends forced apart by the paths their lives take them. Ronnie is barely making it in L.A. with her buff boyfriend, Earl, on a bartender's and tutor's paycheck. And Doris, having just broken up with her unambitious, easygoing boyfriend, faces her new life as a liberal professor of American literature at a conservative college.
Come the Night
Murder. Obsession. Intrigue. And werewolves. This was a fantastic and believable tale of gut-wrenching proportions.
