The Bounty Hunter's Bride by Victoria Bylin Love Inspired Historical #8 - May 08
This is a great book! We all know that no one is infallible, but many people think that when you become a Christian, your brain is automatically washed and you never have another bad thought. That your hands never commit another bad act. That feelings of love overflow and you can't possibly dislike anyone, never mind hate them. But a Christian is still human with all the failings of our race. And it's an everyday battle to choose to walk the narrow path to heaven.
Beau Morgan is such a man. He believes in God - he might be angry with Him but he still believes. And, his best friend is a preacher. But he's filled with hate for the man who killed his wife six years ago. He can't shake the pain of her loss. Every time he closes his eyes, he sees her falling from the bullet that struck her down. And he's still trailing the guy after all these years. He's fixated on revenge.
Tycoon's One-Night Revenge
The Brother Returns
This is the sequel to a book I read last year, The Horseman's Secret. It features that heroine's sister and that hero's brother. I liked the first book, and I liked this one even more. There was more focus on the romance, and it felt even more natural when they finally came together at the end (and I mean that in the most innocuous of ways, those of you with dirty minds!).
Tested by Fire
I must have been attracted by the word "fire" in the title, as the historical novel I'm now writing begins with a fire. But, this book confused me at times. There were so many characters and so many locations, it took me three to four chapters to figure out who was who. I paid for the book, so I kept reading.
