Loved this book! Jennie Lucas knows how to pack an emotional punch. I read this book on the plane as I was headed for RWA San Fran. Fabulous story!  Jennie has quickly become a must-read for me.

Emma Delaney is all business. When she overhears her co-workers talking about her and how she needs to loosen up, basically, get a life, she is hurt. She gets a chance to show them that there is more to her than they think when she sees an old friend at the bar where everyone is meeting after work. Emma hasn't seen Jake in years and he is more yummy than ever.

‘If I were interested,’ he watched with satisfaction as she paled, ‘and I am,’ he added softly. ‘I telephoned you earlier tonight, as soon as I got to town, but you weren’t at home,’ he told her huskily, suddenly very near, the heat of his body, the seduction of his aftershave, reaching out to her.
Sian refused to look at him. ‘Why on earth would you telephone me?’ she asked jerkily.
Suddenly he was more than just close, he was dangerously so, the lean length of his body curving into the back of her as his arms came about her waist and pulled her into him. ‘Guess,’ he murmured throatily against her earlobe.

Rant Warning: I ranted a bit on this one.  It touched a personal beef of mine about double standards. 

Favourite Scene: (I like how he kisses her injured palm)

The chafed area where the reins had sawed into her palm stood out red, he said something under his breath.
Sara froze listening to her heartbeat pick up speed.
The tips of Gabe's lean fingers touched the fragile blue veins at her wrist measuring that betraying pulse. He looked up sharply his eyes fiercely gleaming and tension crackled in the air between them so potent it drowned out the frantic urging of her brain to get the hell out of there.
As though compelled he lifted her hand and kissed the palm his lips lingering draining the soreness from the skin setting fire to the reckless craving she tried so hard to keep secret.
