RITA FINALIST

Treasure--Helen Brenna--Superromance

challenge_name:

Helen Brenna's Treasure won the 2008 Rita for Series Romantic Suspense. (That's not the correct title, but you get the idea.) I was very impressed with the depth of the characters' conflict, the details about the treasure hunt plot, and how much I enjoyed the scenes of life on a boat.

The Sleeping Beauty Proposal by Sarah Strohmeyer

challenge_name:

I'm trying to read some of the RITA nominated books to see if I can predict who'll win. Hey, it entertains me! This was my 3rd read in the contemporary category. I liked it...but I do wish something nasty woul dhave happened to Hugh. He was just plain mean. Oh, and I really wanted a sex scene or five. I mean, a living Greek god and we fade to black?

Sexiest Man Alive by Diana Holquist

challenge_name:

Who can resist the title Sexiest Man Alive? Her next one is called Hungry For More. She gives good title, this chick.

The book is fun too! A terminally shy seamstress is told by her gypsy psychic sister her one true love is the sexiest man alive...or at least has the same name. And when he turns up in her life, she has to wonder if her sister might be right.
