The Cowboy's Baby
My Opinion: A beautiful poignant story. Like all romances the story did have a happy ending. Both characters have secrets and because of those secrets they aren’t honest about their feelings. They fear that there failure will destroy any chance of happiness. Both need to clean the air with their spouse so that they can get on with their lives. They are a good couple together but .....
Jessica Hart - The Beckoning Flame HR 3302 2/94
I really loved this book. Strachan and Gisella, probably the two characters with the oddest names, really had quite a relationship. I loved the conflict between them, especially as Gisella started to realize that she had more feelings for Strachan than just a subject of an interview for an article.

Leigh Michaels - Strictly Business HR 2951 12/1988
I usually love Leigh's books but for some reason this one just didn't do it for me.
Its the story of two friends that really need to get it together but haven't.
I think it was because Gianna was so oblivious to Blake's attempts for them to get together. She seemed a little too dense.
The Messenger - a paranormal romance
Amanda Clarke and Tyler Hawthorne both have secrets. Amanda sees ghosts and Tyler has been alive for 200 years. Tyler can communicate with those who are dying and convey their last messages to their loved ones. Now an old enemy who gave Tyler his power wants it back and he’ll do whatever it takes to get it back.
Writing Historical Dialogue and Narrative
How do YOU balance modern reading sensibilities with a feel for the time? This is the place to share your tips and tricks of the trade, recommend nonfiction books and/or well-written novels, and suggest ways to "historicize" dialogue and narrative. Dictionary-like definitions of words no longer in modern usage are welcome (as long as you don't quote directly from a dictionary). So grab a quill pen, dip it in the standish, wipe off the excess ink, and join us as we time travel together!

Debbie Macomber - Father's Day HR 3130 6/91
Debbie Macomber's Father's Day is a bit like The Matchmakers, but still an enjoyable read, as are just about all Debbie's books. In this story you have Robin a widowed accountant and her son Jeff and Cole a divorced neighbor who lost his ex-wife and son in an accident several years ago.
Its a story of how a boy and a dog brought two people that were afraid to love again together.
