A Hero to Count On by Linda Turner
Back Cover: Determined to heal her broken heart, Katherine Wyatt retreated to her family's ranch. She vowed to avoid men - until she had to share space with a charming, infuriatingly sexy cowboy. Somehow Hunter Sincair knew just how to provoke her, and he seemed awfully determined to keep her in his sights. Especially as someone wanted the Wyatts off the ranch for good.
Baddest Bad Boys (Anthology)
First off, I primarily got this book because there was a continuation story from Shannon McKenna. I can go to the moon and back with all the wonderful reasons why I love her books. She is one of the authors that I check their website monthly to find out when the next book is coming out and if there is a new snippet of an upcoming book.
Halfway to the Grave
Just finished the first Night Huntress story HALFWAY TO THE GRAVE by Jeaniene Frost and had to run right out and buy the sequel. A sure sign of a good read. Heroine Cat Crawfield is a half vamp dedicated to killing any vampires whose path she crosses until the night she targets a vamp she just can't stake.
No One Lives Forever by Jordan Dane (Avon) (Romantic Suspense)
Wow!

136. Sharon Sala ~ The Healer ~ MIRA Romantic Suspense ~ April 2008
Sharon Sala is a favourite and autobuy author and has been for years... in both of her guises. Until now, I figured that it was her stories written under Dinah McCall that were more mystical, but obviously not! Either way, I was not disappointed in this story ~ and I have debck3 to thank for the fact that I moved this book up; so "Thanks Deb... great review!"
The connection that Jonah Gray Wolf has with animals is wonderful; his connection with Lucia is beautiful and right from the very beginning their spiritual union shone through. This story took me away and it took me a little over 4 hours of interrupted reading to finsh... I did not want to put the book down. If you enjoy mysticism connected to nature; if you enjoy a soul-deep connection in your romance; if suspense adds a little fillip to your reading, then this is a story for you. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
RATING:
Excellence: Excellent to OUTSTANDING ~ 4.5 stars
Steaminess: Romantic, barely Sensual
#52 – Up Close and Dangerous by Linda Howard (Ballantine Books, 2007 – Mass Market PB release April/08)
"Bailey Wingate's scheming adult stepchildren are surprised when their father's will leaves Bailey in control of their fortune, and war ensues. A year later, while flying from Seattle to Denver in a small plane, Bailey nearly dies herself when the engine sputters-and then fails.
Cam Justice, her sexy Texan pilot, manages to crash-land the aircraft. Stranded in the wilderness, and struggling to douse her feelings for the ruggedly handsome man by her side, Bailey begins to wonder whether this was a mere accident. Who tampered with their plane? Who's trying to reunite Bailey and her husband in the afterlife? Cut off from the world, and with little hope of rescue, Bailey must trust her life-and heart-to Cam, as they battle the harsh elements to find a way out of the unforgiving wilds and back to civilization . . . where a killer may be waiting to finish the job."

The Dark Side of Night
This is my first entry this year and I have SO MUCH to catch up on! It just took me this long to figure out how to do the blog (yes I'm that computer incompetent, yeesh)...will try to do a few at a time, starting with the most recent, which I finished on my exciting (not) PATH ride this morning, Cindy Dees's latest SRS THE DARK SIDE OF NIGHT, the first in her new HOT Watch miniseries.
