This new-to-me author has written a book that was impossible to put down and reintroduced me to the HSR line in this book about two hurting people who get a second chance at love.

I’ve read almost every one of Nicholas Sparks’ books. They always pull you right in. This was a wonderful story about two lost souls that found each other by chance and that meeting had a profound effect on them. It helped each of them see something inside themselves that they hadn’t even known was there until then.

I really liked this story by Maureen Child too! She really is becoming a favorite. This was a sweet story about second chances at love. I loved both characters and the secondary characters as well.

I did like this book, and both Braeden and Alexia. Having said that Braeden’s arrogance and his lack of trust or faith in Alexia got on my nerves at times. The lack of communication between these two after their tragedy occurs seemed to be the biggest source of the estrangement that follows.

Nice story and so sad if they hadn’t been handed a second chance. These two seemed just perfect together from the beginning. You get to see a little of what happened to each because of the break-up. The subsequent changes just further enhanced the people that they had been and didn’t diminish anything of the chemistry between Cole and Alex.

For Blackmail... Or Pleasure

Great story, but I had an issue with how quickly our heroine have in. I can see someone giving in to blackmail to salvage everything they've worked their entire life for... but having been blackmailed into doing his bidding she falls into bed with him way too quickly. Other than that, great story. Loved the byplay between the two main characters.
