Sensational Romance Authors
An Impulsive Debutante
Enjoyed this hugely - I'd been very cross with the heroine when she appeared as a secondary in A CHRISTMAS WEDDING WAGER, but Michelle rose to the challenge and managed to make Lottie a really sympathetic heroine in her own book. Recommended.
Blue Remembered Heels
Good, fast-paced read with a sympathetic main character.
Mistress: Hired for the Businessman’s Pleasure
Lovely read – and I’m not biased just because she's a friend and I suggested the Chopin *g*. Orlando is wonderfully drawn, as is Rachel. And I loved the ending.
Before the Storm
Another of her fab multigenerational big reads with the past affecting the present. Her usual excellent standard - good story, great characterisation and brilliant twists.
Mistress of the Art of Death
Saturnalia
Latest in her Falco series, which is autobuy for me. Falco's a little more cynical in this one (a little too much, for my liking), but there were some interesting themes.
The Secret Shopper’s Revenge
A sheer joy of a book – has characterisation that really grabbed me and kept me reading until I was too tired to keep my eyes open.
The Stuff of Dreams
Another of my favourite themes: secrets of the past haunting the present. Have learned a lot about breathing and diction from it, too. I love books which teach me things at the same time as telling me a story.
The Sunne in Splendour
Gory in places (especially the beginning) but enjoyed it hugely, especially as she’s unashamedly pro-Yorkist. Richard is a fabulous character, and his love for Anne is really tender. The historical stuff is all accurate; and it's a thoroughly good read. Highly recommended.
Saying Yes to the Millionaire
Plot includes two fabulous ideas I wish I'd thought of first - lovely characters, and a bit that made me cry - recommended read.
