Santa Unwrapped / Theresa Alan -- I wish he hadn't been so much of a jerk. It made it hard to see what she saw in him. But it was a great set-up.

Classic Presents.story - I like that Jake was smitten with Luc BEFORE the makeover.

Absolutely fantastic. Sexy and funny, a great escape for a few hours. Unlike most books where the characters say the relayionship is only temporary, I actually believed these characters thought they could pull it off. And the food porn? Fabulous.

A classic vintage story. With the plethora of medical dramas on TV since the book came out, I had some issues with the amnesia subplot, but I doubt anyone would have when the book came out.

The Best American Erotica 2007 edited by Susie Bright

I'm never going to be a fan of disturbing stories. I need to stop trying to like them. There were a couple great stories in this collection, but some that put me off the whole mess. Strangely, literary fiction collections have the same effect on me as erotica. Where is the hope? Where is the happy ending?

Enjoyed this one as there were fleeting visits from heroes and heroines from her previous books - and especially because it was set in East Anglia (my part of the world), including a real life character I 'know' from my studies of local history. She really got into the head of the hero, who was just gorgeous. (Carol's another of my autobuy authors - rattling good story and accurate history.)

One of Liz’s trademark warm, witty books – and the ending was just beautiful. I had a lump in my throat. Brilliant stuff.

Great pace, great dialogue, great hooks, and exactly what I’d expect from someone who’s been a TV story editor. I will definitely be buying the follow-up, next month.

I saved this one as a treat - and I was very right to do so. It's brilliant. The characterisation is spot on, the hero is gorgeous, the secondaries are well drawn (and I'm glad to see that there are linked stories coming out later in the year).
