Sensational Romance Authors
Untamed
The House of Night series is really hotting up in this 4th instalment.
Still loving it.
Her Desert Dream
After reading Lady Rose's story, I was eagerly awaiting Lydia, her look-alike's story.
If you haven't read Liz's 'Trading Places' duo, do yourself a favour.
Both books are utterly bewitching.
Betrayed
The 2nd book in the House of Night series (I read the first over Christmas, so doesn't count here!)
Aimed at YA market but thoroughly readable paranormal stuff for adults.
Enjoying the series immensely.
Tall, Dark and Lethal by Dana Marton (Intrigue)
Tall, Dark and Lethal by Dana Marton (Intrigue)
This is the best Intrigue I've ever read. There were lots of characters (who I'm guessing have books of their own) but they were peppered in as seasoning, not part of the main course. And what a dish! I'll confess, this book had me at the hot guy on the cover...but it pulled me in from there.
Manhunt in the Wild West by Jessica Andersen (Intrigue)
We're never sure exactly who Jonah Fairfax is...could be a murderous escaped convict, could be a federal agent, might be a nut case...it's no wonder medical examiner Chelsea is confused!
Around The Clock Protector by Jan Hambright (Intrigue)
CIA Agent Carson Nash and his team are sent in to rescue a hostage...who turns out to be Carson's former lover. He thought Ava had been killed in a plane crash, so he's shocked to see her - not to mention to find out she has amnesia and is pregnant with his child!
The Magnate's Indecent Proposal by Ally Blake (Presents)
I'm a big believer in reading being one of the best teachers of writing. This book has amazing dialogue. Reading it will teach more than an all-day workshop. Even though I could have done without the fuzzy kiss!
The Greek's Bridal Bargain by Melanie Milburne (Presents)
The line that sold me on the heroine? "Her eyes automatically dipped to his mouth as they had done every time since the day she'd put that jagged scar on his top lip."
This is a forced marriage story, which usually calls for a petulant bride, and Bryony is. But she's also fiesty and funny, which made this a fun read.
The Italian's Rags-To-Riches Wife by Julia James (Presents)
She thinks she's ugly, and so doesn't try to look better. He takes one look at her...and winces. Still, her grandfather wants to meet her, so Allesandro bribes her. After a day at the spa, they're both shocked that she emerges beautiful.
The animosity between these two was great.
Jingle All The Way by Fern Michaels, Theresa Alan, Jane Blackwood, Linda Lael Miller
Santa Unwrapped / Theresa Alan -- I wish he hadn't been so much of a jerk. It made it hard to see what she saw in him. But it was a great set-up.
