In Other Rooms. Other Wonders by Daniyal Mueenuddin (Feb 2009) (Short Stories)
Awesome, awesome book. Interconnected short stories about landowners and servants, a changing world as the feudal household faces changes and old powers change. I was very impressed by the author's ability to get into the characters, especially his female characters.
A Few Good Men
Four sexy marines come home after a gruelling incident...and all they want is some time in their women's arms to forget and live life to its scorchingly sensual fullest.
Temptation Blaze by JoAnn Ross, Heather MacAllister, Elda Minger 1998
While I am trying to get ready to move I've been relying on some older books I have in the TBR pile. It is kind of fun to see how the books are holding up to the test of time!
That said I am going to cheat as I am in crunch time for more packing, physically moving, etc. The following is copied from the back cover of the book:
Anthology ~ My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding ~ St. Martin's PB [227]
RATING: Liked the book on the whole. Good to Very Good. A couple of new (or NTM) authors that I'll be looking for more of.
My primary reason for getting this book? Jim Butcher. I'm a fan of his Dresden Files and I was intrigued enough to get the book... I know, seems rather odd; getting an anthology for one author. But I didn't really decide to get it until the subsequent My Big Fat Supernatural Honeymoon came out. Now this book has stories by another two or three authors, other than Jim Butcher, that I love: Kelley Armstrong, Katie MacAlister and, to some degree, Ronda Thompson. Regarding Ms. Thompson's stories, I've read one book, one novella and I have another two or so of her Wulf stories lurking in my TBR. So finally I had a good enough reason to get MBFS Wedding!
When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris
The first David Sedaris book I read was Me Talk Pretty One Day on a train traveling to Florence from Verona in June 2006. I was alone and craving the English word. The bookstore that I found tucked away in piazza sold all of about fifty English novels and Sedaris instantly popped out at me.

Eight Spice Briefs

I really enjoyed the Briefs I read this time around, and I'm again very impressed by the courage and quality of the writing. I love the variety in this line.
No Apologies by Tracy Wolff
Rating: Good
I didn't really like the heroine in this one, and it took me a while to warm up to the relationship. However, the writing was strong and I liked the longer length (a little over 50 pages).
I'd read another by Wolff but wouldn't call this a favourite.
