This is the first in Emilie Rose's "The Payback Affairs".  I really liked it.  This author has become a favorite.  I'm looking forward to finding out what Everett Kincaid has in store for his other children.  In this story Rand Kincaid must take over the Kincaid cruise business and hire his former lover Tara as his personal assistant for a year in order to keep the business and home

It took me a little longer than usual to get swept away by Debra and Jonah, but by the end it all came together nicely.

Powerful writing in a difficult situation.  I was in shock at how this book began, but it was also very easy to see (and believe) how this romance developed in the worst of times.  Sorrow and grief can make people respond in odd ways.  This was definitely odd, but it turned out ok.  I guess it wouldn't be romance if it hadn't!

Trista has taken her son, Aidan, moved to a new town and started over.  She has a good job as an attorney, lives close to her brother and sister-in-law, and loves her son more than she thought possible.  This was the life, wasn't it?

Imagine Darcy's shock to discover the her deserter father left her joint custody of the half-sister she never knew she had.  To rub salt in the wound, she will be sharing custody with her step-brother that her dad chose to raise while walking away from her life.
