Sign of Seven Trilogy
The Hollow - Nora Roberts
In the small village of Hawkins Hollow, three best friends who share
the same birthday sneak off into the woods for a sleepover the evening
before turning 10. But a night of pre-pubescent celebration turns into
a night of horror as their blood brother oath unleashes a three-hundred
year curse.
#18: The Hollow (Jove) by Nora Roberts
This was Book #2 of the Sign of Seven trilogy and it was fantastic, amazing and so very page-turning, continuing the story of the nasty phenomena that happens every seven years in Hawkins Hollow, when evil possesses the people of the little town and they do unspeakable things to themselves and one another for a week until it passes again.
The Hollow by Nora Roberts
The second installment in the Sign of Seven Trilogy brings us the story of Fox and Layla.
Blood Brothers by Nora Roberts
The Hollow by Nora Roberts (Jove, May 2008)
Book Two of the Sign of Seven Trilogy. (Book One is Blood Brothers and Book Three is The Pagan Stone). This story centers on Fox and Layla, the pair that are able to see in the now. All six are in Hawkins Hollow prior to the next coming of the Seven, trying to determine how to end the mayhem, death and destruction that will come later this year. As it has each and every seven years since Fox, Cal, and Gage were ten-year-olds who revived the demon with their Blood Brothers' ritual. Only this time is predestined to be their last opportunity to either end it for good, or lose all that they hold dear.
Blood Brothers (Book One--Sign of Seven Trilogy) by Nora Roberts (unabridged audio)
A good start to the trilogy. Like the books I blogged earlier today, I listened to this on my 3 week working vacation and don't remember much other than I enjoyed it. I didn't like the reader so much. Not that he didn't do a good job, but I have a harder time listening to a man do women's voices than a woman reader doing the male characters' voices. (My very favorite way to listen is either a full cast or -- barring that -- a man and a woman reading the book, splitting the voices along gender and/or age lines. That doesn't happen often, I assume b/c of cost. By splitting along age lines, I mean usually the woman does a better job reading children's voices, even if they're little boys.) Just me. Available from Jove and Brilliance Audio. Read by Phil Gigante. NFM
The Hollow ~ Nora Roberts
The Hollow - Nora Roberts
This is the second book of the Sign of Seven Trilogy. I love when a story continues on....can't wait for the third book. I find that I am truly loving Nora's writing these last couple of years, has totally brought me out of my normal realm of reading material.
A must read!
THE HOLLOW by Nora Roberts, Bk 2 of Sign of Seven trilogy
Bk #59--My thoughts: This one is Fox and Layla's story. Good book--and just good; not spectacular. Personally, I liked the first one better. I think my big drawback with this book was the heroine. I felt it just took too long for her to get where she needed to be emotion wise. But that's just my opinion...
