98. Holly Jacobs ~ Confessions of a Party Crasher ~ HSS (2006)
I found this at one of the Value Village's that I visit from time to time and I got it because it sounded like a lot of fun... and it was. Holly Jacobs is an author that I'll be looking for; her humour was impeccable and the relationships were well done. And being as the book was a Signature Select, I loved the bonus features; that's one of the things I've enjoyed most about other HSS books that I've read. Once you're finished the story, it's not quite over. In this issue, the bonus features were just as much fun as the story... as told by a couple of the characters:
- Party Crashing...The New Dating Scene? by "Nicole Hastings"
- Party Crashing...Advicefor the Mature Woman by "Annabelle Miller"
- Falling for the Younger Man by Christine Cowern
RATING:
Excellence: Excellent ~ 4 stars
Steaminess:Sensual
57. Christine Rimmer ~ Bravo Unwrapped [Bravo Family Ties]
I am deplorably behind on my reviews, so I will do my best to both catch up and to write complete reviews.
On the back of the book, a Signature Select new release, it says:
A New Chapter in the SAGA of the Characters You Love
and, yep, it is. Man, that bad-boy, black-sheep Blake Bravo spread his "love" around! With six different women that he "married" he had 14 children; all but two were boys. Another excellent chapter in the Bravo saga: Man, Blake may have been scum of the earth, but the women that he picked musta had some fantastic genes, 'cause the kids all turned out as decent people! This is the seventh of one of Blake Bravo's offspring to have their story.
RATING:
Excellence: Great to Very Good ~ 3.5 stars
Steaminess: Sensual
52. Christine Rimmer ~ The M.D. She HAD to Marry [Bravo Family Ties] reprint
When I first read the blurbs on the back of this book ~ before I bought it ~ I was wondering just who the heck Jenna and Lacey were and where they came into the Bravo family... now, of course I've learned of the four original Bravo brothers and their offspring and so on down the line. It's like getting to know all your extended family... you may not *know* them, but they're family, so all's good.
Well, that's pretty much what I'm finding with all these stories... and I'm lovin' it all!
