Silhouette by Request

141. Annette Broadrick ~ Strange Enchantment ~ Silhouette By Request

challenge_name:

     I got this By Request volume at Value Village and only because I wasn't sure if I had Annette Broadrick's story in its original form...  I should have known better, but it gave me an excellent opportunity to fall in love with the story all over again AND remember just why I began collecting all of her books / stories in the first place.
     While this story is all contemporary there's an undercurrent of what feels like magic running through it.  Soul mates from the very first glance, Beth and Dan experience an emotional connection from the instant that they first see each other.  Dan knows that this, this is the woman he has waited his whole life for.  There relationship doesn't go extremely smoothly, but neither are there any huge obstacles.  Just Beth's near-impregnable shield that she developed as grew up alone.  This is a beautiful, tender and very heartwarming contemporary fairy tale and I could, honestly, sit down and read it again right now.... Magic!  VERY, VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

62. Maureen Child ~ The Non-Commissioned Baby ~ SSR [by Request] 2004 {Bachelor Battalion}

challenge_name:

     New line, new series. Since I read a review of one of Maureen Child’s Bachelor Battalion books, I’d been searching when, while at one of the thrift stores that I visit, there was one of the books from this series. I was tickled pink! In short order, I came across two more books from this series and then chanced upon a Silhouette by Request title with the second of the Bachelor Battalion books in the series… happy? You bet! So while I know that I’m missing a LOT of these books, I’m off to a good start. Yee haw!
            This book was originally released as SD #1174 [1998]
