The Proposal is in the Slush Pile!!!!!!!

I mailed off my proposal for DESERT DREAMER on Friday, and, using the Post Office package tracking option, I found out it arrived in New York State yesterday.  Today, at 9:46 a.m., it ended up being delivered to the offices of Steeple Hill.  I'm trying not to be too excited that it's there.

After reading the on-line excerpt I knew I wanted to read this one, and I was not disappointed! Parts of this book were real page-turners. My complaint?

I've enjoyed all the cozy mysteries set in the town of Glory. A mystery without gory details from Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense. Fun!

I believe this book was Susan's debut release...at least with Steeple Hill. It is rare that I cry when reading a book. I did with this one on more than one occasion. The characters seem very real. Susan has a way of giving us information without it seeming like she's telling it. She's wonderful at feeding the info through dialogue and introspection. This was a wonderful book. Highly recommended.

I wish, wish, wish this book would be recommended reading for all junior high and high school students. The manner in which Margaret handled the bullying issues in the story were excellent. Very touching story by a master in the craft of fiction. Heartwarming characters that stayed with me long after I finished the book. BRAVO, MARGARET!!!

Robin's debut novel is a fast-paced romantic suspense with a solid, unique plot that kept me tense from the first page to the last. Robin writes with a fresh, active style with strong verbs and vivid word imagery.

I am officially hooked on Robin Caroll's Bayou Series from Steeple Hill Suspense.

Bayou Corruption is a deeply-moving story with a fast-moving plot that kept my gut clenched from the first page to the last.

Parts, such as the beginning of chapter three, brought me to tears. I don't often find suspense novels with this depth of emotion.
