This is a fabulous series - I found it hard to put the book down, and couldn't wait to get on to the next one in the series! (All the while dreading when I would be finished the series) This is the best series that I have read since I fell in love with the McKeddricks! Too bad that there were only 5 books to the series.

Book 5 and the last installment of the Texas Hold ‘Em series
I bought the first book of this series during a special. I think a buy 2 get 1 free special or 3 get 1 – I don’t quite remember. I do remember thinking it sounded interesting. After reading it, I knew I had to read them all. I also knew Luke’s story would be my favorite and hoped that the book would be worth the wait. The series got better with each story and when Luke came to the spotlight in Texas Bluff I was not disappointed. I linked this book in the challenged because it contained secrets as devastating as the ones in Shirley Hailstock’s The Secret. If you haven’t read this series, you must. I didn’t write my own review of the story, but posted the back cover’s blurb below. It does a great job of describing the book without giving anything away. Linda Warren stated in her notes that she threw some heavy things at Luke - that she definitely did. She and Luke handled the situation greatly. I loved the men in the Texas Hold ‘Em series and really hate to see them go.

Texas Bluff
The 5th and final in this series gives us a great H/h Luke Chisum and Becky Howard. There are many secrets in Luke's life and he learns them all, and they just about overwhelm him! There are unexpected twists and turns for our H/h. We see and hear from the other 4 couples in this series too. What a great series.

Going For Broke
This the 3rd in a 5 book series. Love them and those card playing heroes! The first, 10/07 was Tara Taylor Quinn's THE BABY GAMBLE, Debra Salonen's 11/07 BETTING ON SANTA, Linda Style's 12/07 book is GOING FOR BROKE, Cynthia Thomason's 1/08 DEAL ME IN and Linda Warren's 2/08 TEXAS BLUFF.
