Her Reason To Stay
This was a great book. I loved the secret twin thing, though I would have liked to find out why they weren't adopted together. And I did get a little impatient with Patrick at times--which is most likely a good thing, b/c Daphne was, too! Their romance developed nicely and the conflict was strong. A good read!
Dante's Contract Marriage by Day Leclaire
Dante's Stolen Wife by Day Leclaire
I have actually finished all four of "The Dante Legacy" books and I think this one was my favorite. When Marco met Caitlyn he knew she was his legacy mate, but she thought he was his brother Lazzaro. Then Lazz schemes to keep them apart until Marco finds out what he's up to. Can Marco stop Lazz's wedding proposal and does Caitlyn really have feelings for the more logical twin? I
270. Keri Arthur ~ Beneath a Darkening Moon ~ ImaJinn Books (2004)
This story seemed to me to be darker than the the previous one ~ maybe not a lot, but there was a sense of evil that pervaded the atmosphere more so than in Neva's story. But either way, it continued on about a year after Neva and Duncan's story ~ and we got a very good look at Savannah's life when she broke away from Ripple Creek all those years ago.
Once again the heroine and hero are feeling their way through a potentia landmine of emotions ~ but in this case, Savannah and Cade have a very difficult past to overcome. And yet again, Keri Arthur manages everything marvellously. I have the first book from her other three series from ImaJinn yet to read, but it'll be awhile I think before I get to them. I do, however, expect to enjoy them just as much as everything else written by this wonderful author that I've read so far.

Favourite Scene: (I like the hero's attitude to having a child because they mutually want one (in this case they aren't in love), it's smart and very nice of him to want this binding tie)
"For what it's worth, I think you'll make a terrific mother. And I want to be a part of any child we have from beginning to end. A legal, binding, no-getting-out-of-it connection that everyone in the world will recognize and acknowledge."
The Counterfeit Secretary by Susan Napier (HP 924)
Ria Masson is living a double life – although she's really an attractive, 30 yo widowed mother of 6 yo twin boys, each day she puts on drab makeup, pulls her hair back a bit too tight, dons glasses she doesn't need and shuffles off to the office as a sedate older secretary.
Baby Bonanza by Maureen Child... QC #295
Baby Bonanza by Maureen Child, Desire, #1893, September 2008 (book 2- Billionaires and Babies[but not character related])
Jenna Baker worked on Nick Falco's cruise line but knew he would never get involved with an employee. So when Nick ran across her one night and assumed she was a guest, she didn't correct him. Thus they began a weeklong sexual affair. When Nick found out she was an employee, he broke things off and once they were in port, he fired her, devestating her. But over a year later, she was aboard his cruise ship, this time as a guest because she had to tell him he was the father of her twin boys. There was a mistake while booking cabins and she got a cabin on a deck that wasn't supposed to be used. Luckily there were only two cabins booked on that deck. He upgraded the other couple to a luxury suite on the same deck as his, and he upgraded Jenna too, to his suite. How long can they deny their attraction? This time when she gives in to Nick, will loving him destroy her? Can Nick trust her this time? Is she lying this time? A simple DNA will prove if she is.
Winter of Dreams by Susan Napier (HP 1595)
Olivia Marlow was wiped out by a glandular fever which came on the heels of a devastatingly critical review of her artwork showing. She's been unmotivated to eat or work for months
Linda Warren ~ The Wrong Woman ~ HSR #1125 (Apr03) ~ Twins ... [222]
I have to give Sadhbh thanks for the impetus to read this book. This was one of the treasures that I found last week that I had been looking for for awhile. I hadn't really thought to read it so soon, but when Sadhbh posted her review of this very same book I knew that I had to read it right away.
As usual, I had read the second book first and, while there was a lot of background that I didn't have I was easily able to infer the major missing pieces. So, yes the second book stood alone ~ although I was really, really wanting the first one ~ but it's a much richer reading Sarah's story (#2) after reading the first (Serena's story).
I very much enjoyed the other connections between Ethan and Serena as the story unfolded; how their lives were on a definite intersect course. Linda Warren is an author whose back list I'll be pursuing... so much fun!

Favourite Scene: (h kisses H's twin accidentally, mistaking him for the H yet AGAIN, H is less than pleased)
She marched over to him, grabbed him by the lapels of his suit jacket and yanked him downward to a reachable level. Before he had time to take charge of their latest embrace, she planted her mouth on his and kissed him for all she was worth. Then she let go and stepped back, not giving any inconvenient chemistry an opportunity to kick in. Not that it did.
She straightened her cockeyed glasses. "There. See? Nothing. Not a twinge of pleasure."
"I'm pleased to hear it," a voice gritted from behind her. "I'd be a little upset if my future bride enjoyed kissing my brother more than she enjoyed kissing me."
Oh, no! Not again.
