My Review:
Mmmm. I really liked the dynamic between the hero/heroine, it was combatative, sparks flew, insults hit the air, and they got grabby! The hero was a man you could like and respect, yet he was also sexy and had an in-your-face aggressive side (which I enjoyed). Case in point: the hero didn't enjoy being hidden away in the heroine's bedroom when she had guests, so he unbuckled his belt and unbottoned his pants and swanned in mid conversation complaining about her leaving him in bed. *grin*

My Review:
They married four years ago in name only to escape a civil war mess. They got separated, he thought she'd died, but at present she comes to him on the eve of his engagement to another woman to return his ring (she never knew it was a legal marriage). He's immediately suspicious of her motives and thinks it's a blackmail attempt.

Passion Becomes You by Michelle Reid (HP 1752)
Back Cover:
From their first meeting, Jemma had known that forever wasn't in Leon Stephanades's vocabulary. She was inexperienced, but the passion between them was so powerful that she cast her doubts aside and agreed to Leon's demand of a no-strings affair. Soon Jemma was head over heels in love, and couldn't imagine that she'd ever be the one to end the idyll...Until she found out that her love for Leon was to have a lasting price - and it meant having to let him go...
My Review:
Oh yum, the passion in this one was heart-racing. Leon was intent on having an affair with Jemma, he kissed and propositioned her moments after meeting her, every time their eyes met electricity just thrummed between them. He is a wealthy powerful man, so he thoroughly investigated Jemma in the next few days. When he caught her after a date with another man, he was jealous and delightfully possessive.
Desire Never Changes by Penny Jordan (HP 946)
Back Cover:
Her dream husband.
Ever since their passionate encounter, Somer's dreams had been filled with the lean, tanned body of Chase Lorimer. She hadn't been able to look at another man - even though she'd thought she'd never see Chase again.
Now, Chase was back, and this time he wanted marriage - but on his terms. Somer had two choices: she could consent to be a convenient wife, or spend the rest of her life dreaming about him. Although the situation wasn't ideal, she knew she had to take a chance on the real thing...
My Review:
Somer is a rich man's daughter, and at 18 she got engaged to Andrew, who only wanted to marry her for her money. Somer walked in on Andrew having sex with another woman, and she felt rejected and inadequate (because of pride). She goes off and tries to seduce the powerfully sexy photographer, Chase, who she's seen around the hotel.
Chase was intrigued by her at first sight, noticing her air of innocence: one of the most sensual scenes was at the beginning when he first saw her, he followed her off the elevator, came up behind her, and put his hands upon her neck to caress her ears and murmur "just checking to see if you're as wet behind the ears as you look".

My Review:
She's a fashion designer who moves in high-society crowds. He's a businessman looking for a sophisticated wife who will give him fidelity and children, the kind of arrangement he wants. He thinks Ilana is the wife for him and pursues her, but his pursuit has consequences: she has a jealous abusive ex-fiance following her moves and he's angry at her involvement with Xandro. After attacks, Xandro moves her into his home, and soon he's comforting her at night and sharing her bed. Is this arrangement just convenience, will it last after the threat of the ex-fiance is removed?
