Wolf Breeds
Last Wolf Standing, Rhyannon Byrd- Nocturne- Mar/08
FIVE SECONDS EARLIER, MASON WOULD HAVE SWORN IT COULD NEVER HAPPEN...
That a woman who was his perfect match even existed. And that he'd find her in a bustling cafe. Yet just the scent of sweet, mortal Torrance Watson ignited a driving, explosive need to claim her that he knew his pack would never sanction. Worse, the rogue werewolf he'd been hunting had sensed that attraction and made Torry his prey. Forced to safeguard her from this ruthless assassin, who already posed a threat to his pack, Mason now faced the ultimate challenge. Did he have the courage to cross the line by sealing the blood bond that would make Torry his alone--a disloyalty few of his kind ever survived--or would he live an eternity without love?
Rating: 4
This is book#1 to the Blood Runners series. And a very good one at that. There are several characters i look forward to reading more about in future books. NFM
#63 Aiden’s Charity, Wolf Breeds by Lora Leigh, 2007 Ellora’s Cave
Aiden refused to allow the scientists in the labs to use him in sexual experiments.
113. Anthology ~ Beyond the Dark ~ Berkley Sensation (Dec 2007)
I've been meaning to submit this review for a couple of days, but I always manage to distract myself. So, I decided to sit down and at least get it started. I'll have the basics set down, but I may have to finish it up later ~ I figure, though, that if it's at least started, then it'll be easier to finish!
Anyway, I got this book because of the Angela Knight and the Lora Leigh stories, and they were both excellent. I really enjoyed another of LL's Wolf Breeds stories... and I have to say that Matthias was my pick for hottie of the year! Angela Knight's story deals with Hypers ~ people with sudden and unexpected psychic gifts ~ and I loved it.... I truly hope that there will be more of these in the very near future... wow! Tracker / Josiah was very, very yummy. And Rich... I can see his story coming out next... I hope!
111. Lora Leigh ~ Wolf Breeds: Aiden's Charity ~ Ellora's Cave (TPB 2007)
Yet another amazing chapter in Lora Leigh's Breeds series. The characters are strong and even during the worst, manage to hold onto the honour that makes these heroes and heroines just that.
I especially enjoyed the deeper look into the science of the Breed's and their mating heat... that was one of the things that first struck me as the story progressed. I truly found it fascinating; as always this is a wonderful and tantalizing romance ~ of course, it's also a very steamy and HOT read.
RATING:
Excellence: Excellent + ~ 4.5 stars
Steaminess: Inferno ~ of course!
110. Lora Leigh ~ Wolf Breed: Jacob's Faith ~ Ellora's Cave (2003)
It doesn't matter how many of Lora Leigh's books that I read, each story is fresh and very much the story of the hero and heroine. How she manages this, after thirteen Breed stories alone I don't know, but it's true. Jacob and Faith's story is their own... not like anyone else's. The emotional content is also quite unique ~ it's as though Ms. Leigh merely sits back and lets the characters tell their own story: Magic, purely magic.
BTW, the image of the cover is larger than I usually use, but if I used a smaller size the really, really good looking guy on the front wouldn't show up near as well! So whaddya going to do? Resize it!
RATING:
Excellence: Excellent ~ 4.0 stars
Steaminess: Inferno {anything goes}
92. Lora Leigh ~ Elizabeth's Wolf ~ Ellora's Cave (TPB June 2005)
It took me awhile, but I finally:
1. found this book
2. read this book
And I have the rest, to date, of the Wolf Breed books... I will be getting to them once March's challenge is over. And yes, I know, this book certainly doesn't fall into the any new or new-to-me categories, but after I finished reading Maria Snyder's trilogy I was at a complete loss as to what I could possibly read after those three outstanding stories. In fact, this was the third or fourth book that I started... the other three just couldn't do it for me. It doesn't happen often that I have difficulty starting new books, but when it does, there's absolutely nothing to be done but go with the flow. And I'm very glad that I went in this direction!
RATING:
Excellence: Excellent to Outstanding ~ 4.5 stars
Steaminess: Heat Wave to Inferno
