Connie Brockway, Skinny Dipping

challenge_name:

Connie Brockway, Skinny Dipping:  not a romance, but a quirky novel that I really enjoyed.  Has a lot of humor.

The first in the Dakota series, set in the dying town of Buffalo Valley, North Dakota.  Lindsey Snyder returns to her grandparents' home for a visit, only to discover the town's need for a teacher.  Anxious to escape from a dead-end relationship in Savannah, she takes the job.  Farmer Gage Sinclair, initially drawn to Lindsey, figures she won't stay in ND for long, so he might as well not get a

A Little Ray of Sunshine by Lani Diane Rich

challenge_name:

This book was different from my usual first choice, in that it's a quiet book without an adventurous external plot.  The entire book is relationship driven and emotional, with amazing journeys for both the heroine and all the surrounding characters.

Silent in the Sanctuary

challenge_name:

Deana's book SILENT IN THE SANCTUARY captivated me from the very first page. Her voice and the voice of her main character did not miss a beat. The book included forbidden romance, mystery, and the most delightful cast of characters I've read in a long time. This is only this author's second book, but I'm going to and read her first and I'll be buying her next one too!

Back on Blossom Street

challenge_name:

This was the first Debbie Macomber book I've read for quite a while. I loved the voice that came through so strong, a loving and caring one. The story wasn't gripping but that wasn't its pursue. I would say its purpose was to show the power of women unafraid to share with other women. It's very close to being an inspirational. I am definitely going to read TWENTY WISHES, its sequel.

Book 91 - Same Time Next Summer by Holly Jacobs

challenge_name:

blogging for the counter. full review to follow later. Holly wrote another winner. Every bit as fabulous as The House on Briar Hill Road. Very emotional and serious but Holly always manages to toss in a little humor too to keep it from getting too heavy. NFM

Robyn Carr, Whispering Rock
