This is the first book I've read by Jennifer Crusie, and I really enjoyed it.

I've only recently started reading romance novels, other than paranormal romance, which I got into because of my love of fantasy and sf, especially urban fantasy and dark fantasy. In order to broaden my horizons, I've started to check out popular romance novelists who don't write paranormals. As Jennifer Crusie comes highly recommended, I decided to purchase the ebook bundle that includes this novel as well as three others: Strange Bedpersons, What the Lady Wants and Charlie All Night.

Lucy is a physics teacher who is recently divorced from Bradley, and Zach is a police officer who is after a criminal named Bradley. Crusie purposely subverts gender stereotyping by making Lucy the logical one and Zach the intuitive one, something which I can relate to a lot, since I'm the more logical one in my marriage as well.

I also really appreciated the humour in this book, as well as the dogs. (I loved the 'dog joke'.) It's my second favourite book in the bundle after Charlie All Night.
