A Man Worth Keeping by Molly O’Keefe (HSR 04 ’08)

Format: Print Books

This is the next installment in the Mitchells of Riverview series.  This is Max’s story.  In book one, we are lead to understand that Max had a trauma dealing with a police shooting (he is a former cop).  In this story, Delia and her daughter Josie come to the Inn.  Delia is applying for the spa manager position.  The two connect as they are both wounded souls, but will either of them be willing to open up enough for a true connection.  I loved Max in this book.  He was a great tortured hero, not wanting to open up, but by his nature and character being forced to.  Delia was a bit more annoying, I just didn’t understand her contacting the PI earlier.  The first half thus didn’t work as well for me, however the second half rocked – loved seeing the Mom interacting with the Boys and the truth of the situation coming out.  I will be interested to see how the author wraps up the series in the next book.
