Format: Print Books

Ruggiero has never got over "Sapphire" the woman he had a two-week affair with in London and who ran away, never to be seen again. Then he's testing a new bike and thinks he sees her and crashes the bike. A woman is there who looks like Sapphire, in fact Sapphire's name was Freda and she was using him to father a child in an attempt to save her marriage. Then she died and her cousin Polly has come to tell him he's a father. Polly sees herself as a pale imitation of her cousin and doesn't believe Ruggiero could ever fall in love with her, but Ruggiero finds he's jealous of her fiancé and regretting that the time will come when his temporary nurse goes home to England. Can he convince her that Freda is in the past and that it's Polly he loves?
Very enjoyable romance about self-image and how it differs from how other people see us. I liked the interaction with Ruggiero's family and how supportive his mother was.
