Slightly Dangerous is a very entertaining book. My daughter bought it and read it first. Once I realized she was reading a historical period piece, I asked her to let me read it when she was done. I have to say I love the main character, Christine Derrick. She is quirky and fun and sometimes very exasperating. The lead male is the Duke of Bewcastle, Wulfric Bedwyn. These two meet at the country home of a relation of Christine’s when she is in need of her friend to “fill out the numbers” as a guest at a 2-week social gathering. Christine always seems to be getting herself into trouble or trouble finds her. The Duke of Bewcastle is a very refined, upstanding member of the ton and finds Mrs. Derrick’s antics quite beneath him and appalled that she does not, in his estimation, know how to behave as a member of the ton. When these two actually meet, face-to-face, you can almost feel the crackling of electricity…. Of course the two of them ignore all the signs, and the humor abounds.  Find out what a character Mrs. Christine Derrick really is and how her unabashed ability to laugh at herself and life, throws the estimable Duke of Bewcastle off-kilter. I read this in about 2 days, it really keeps you interested. If you decide to read it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
