Landon Rourke is a werewolf who has looked over Kaitlyn McKinney for years. Now she is a detective investigating strange burned bodies. While he is attracted to her he know they can never be together because of the awful secret-besides being a werewolf.

Kaitlyn is attracted to Landon and wants to know him better, but she was just pormoted to detective and wants to solve the mystery surrounding the burning bodies.

Why is Landon so drawn to a human? Can he locate his missing pack members or is it already too late? And who are the ones stalking them?

Loved this book. Landon is a very intense alpha male who is also sensitive with the people he loves. Kaitlyn is a strong woman, but knows she doesn't have to come on too strong. Can't wait for Patrice's final book in this series. I won't give away what/who comes next but most of the way thru this book I kept waiting for it to be revealed. It was just enough to keep me wanting more.
