147. Debbie Macomber ~ The Forgetful Bride ~ MIRA [This Time For Keeps 2-in-1]

Format: Print Books
Series: MIRA Books

I liked Joe... a lot... but he really wasn't enough to save it from a, to me, very unlikely heroine who just couldn't see her nose in front of her face and two very lacklustre and "filler" secondary characters.  There was more life in Cait's brother Martin, and other than her memory of him, a telephone call and a brief appearance at the end, he was barely in the story.  Sorry, the character of Cait just pushed a lot of buttons for me and I really, really wouldn't have continued to read it past the first chapter except for Joe.  *shrug*

FROM the BACK:
Caitlin Marshall hasn't seen Joe Rockwell in almost twenty years, but in all that time one thing hasn't changed ~ he's still a terrible tease.  Now Joe's telling everyone he and Cait are husband and wife.  Oh, sure, they'd been "married" in a pretend ceremony when she was eight.  Can't Joe see he's embarrassing her ~ especially in front of her boss, Paul, with whom Caitlin is secretly in love? But Joe keeps insisting she's in love with him.  And he's determined to prove it.
