Jump into the fire

Severo Dante and his brothers had always dismissed rumors of the Inferno—an explosive desire that overtakes Dante men when they first see their soul mates. Then Severo met jewelry designer Francesca Sommers and was astonished by their raw, urgent, mutual attraction. A rising star at a rival company, Francesca has crafted a dazzling new collection that could ruin Severo's plans to rebuild the Dante empire. His solution: blackmail her into becoming his employee—and his fiancée—until their smoldering affair runs its course. But some fires, once lit, can never be extinguished.…

My Review:

Mmm!  This story is about a destined passion: the Dante men fall into an electric lust/love with one woman, which is like an instant lightning bolt.  The whole family knows the signs, knows the "myth" about "the Inferno" and it's only the men who haven't experienced it yet who doubt it's power!  Severo feels it, and knows it's different from anything he's felt before, but hopes it will die after slaking his lust a bit!  Alas, it only gets more intense and the hero is out of control.

Severo is a ruthless man, who has had to make some very hard business decisions to save his family business, he now makes business decisions that hurt the heroine's family.  The heroine retaliates with a little ruthlessness of her own, making sure her family is looked out for financially.  The hero would normally respect someone for that kind of ruthlessness, but in this case he feels hurt by it, as though the heroine personally hurt him.  It was clear from the start that the hero/heroine were destined for each other, so the fight and obstacles between them seemed inconsequential, but it was a nice emotional ride to see them find their way towards accepting the connection between them, appreciating it, and actually wanting to hold onto it!  Initially they felt it was inconvenient, but it's a blessing.

Rating: 3.5/5 stars, a yummy intense passion, I love a story about destined love!  I'm going to read the other books in this series if I can get my hands on them, I want to see the other Dante Brothers fall to their knees!
