The Hollow by Nora Roberts

This is the second book in the Signs of Seven trilogy. I loved it. But I knew I would. It has creepy scenes where good fights evil, as well as the developing relationship between Fox and Layla. I just hate that we have to wait until December to get the third and final book in this series.

I wrote a whole blog on this book and while I was still typing, my laptop did a funny move and I love everything I had written. I'll try to add to this one later. I'm so mad at my computer right now though. lol

I did enjoy reading about Fox and Layla. Fox is one of those good guys that I would love to know in life. Layla is also a very strong, smart woman but is very cautious, both in her feelings for Fox and in her role against an evil that is hunting the six friends. Very compelling to read the two of them get through some of the creepy scenes, and the fights and feelings between the two of them.

I can't wait for Gage and Cybil's story. I knew from book 1 that I loved Gage. Gotta be that bad boy image of his. lol And in book 2, especially towards the end, I got a better feeling of Cybil and am excited to see what happens between the two of them next. Just hate that we have to wait until December to find out! But I do know it will be hot and stormy. Both between Gage and Cybil and in the final battle between the good and evil. Wow... is it December yet??

From book cover: For Fox, Caleb, Gage, and the other residents of Hawkins Hollow, the number seven portends doom - ever since, as boys, they freed a demon trapped for centuries when their blood spilled upon the Pagan Stone...

Their innocent bonding ritual led to seven days of madness, ever seven years. And now, as teh dreaded seventh month looms before them, the men can feel the storm brewing. Already they are plagued by visions of death and destruction. But this year they are better prepared,  joined in their battle by the three women who have come to the Hollow. Layla, Quinn, and Cybil are somehow connected to the demon, just as teh men are connected to the force that trapped it.

Since that fateful day at the Pagan Stone, town lawyer Fox has been able to see into others' minds, a talent he shares with Layla. He must earn her trust, because their link will help fight the darkness that threatens to engulf the town. But Layla is having trouble coming ot terms with her newfound ability - and with this intimate connection to Fox. She knows that once she opens her mind, she'll have no defense against the desire that theratens to consume them both...
