My Review:
This was a nice read because it had some funny scenes. The premise was great, and I loved the combatative relationship between the hero/heroine, I love them warring with each other and trying to outwit and best their opponent! However, I think this book had a problem: it jumped from scene to scene and the relationship progressed to fast between the hero/heroine.
I know they worked together for a few years, but it seemed like the hero let himself be attracted to her on day 1, had sex with her on day 2, asked her to marry him on day 2 1/2, met her family en masse day 3, and then declared love on day 4. This is too fast for me to believe that the hero is a permanently reformed rake who is now ready to commit to life as a family man. (After all, on day 1 he was ready to go home with another woman, on day 0 he'd probably still been sleeping with that other woman). I'm not convinced the hero "chose" his bride, he was a little too pressured into it by his grandfather and her family.
Rating: 3/5 stars, this would have been a 2.5 star book, but because I liked the humour in it I put it up to 3. It's really quite an enjoyable premise and a FUN read, just not believable to me.
