SOS Marry Me!

Book  Sixty-eight: “SOS  Marry Me!”,  Melissa McClone, Harlequin Romance, June, 2007, #4029,  eBook,  Adobe format

“SOS  Marry Me!” features a “shared cabin” theme where the hero and heroine, who are not right for each other, must share a cabin in a snow storm after a plane crash in order to survive. I always like this theme because it allows for fireworks.

The heroine is a successful wedding dress designer who would like to marry but whose intended has recently dumped her. The hero is a charter pilot who has issues with his father and who prizes his freedom more than anything.

What I found so interesting was the close attention to detail Melissa McClone has taken to make the story realistic. I was a pilot and all her action is just like  I believe it would happen. The search and rescue teams in the story are so well drawn, it’s like being there. The story is also a fun story with the heroine being an uptight perfectionist. The heroine has many girl friends at the company where she works, “The Wedding Belles,” and their friendships add to the emotional impact of the story.

The plot always has something happening and is always interesting. “SOS  Marry Me!”,  provides an excellent reading experience – except I did have one problem with the story. The Epilogue was a major letdown when it did not deal with the hero and heroine’s wedding and when the ending was used to set up the next book. It was almost like reading a commercial for the next book . Not all readers may feel this way but I think the epilogue would have been much more fulfilling if we got to see the hero and heroine’s wedding.

Excellent Reading Enjoyment – Except for Weak Epilogue

Thanks,
