I reviewed this one last month... here's my review just to add my two cents.
Paranormal Romance with a 2000 year old vampire hero and a mortal heroine who has been reincarnated many times over the centuries. The hero finds her in all her incarnations, drawn to her, and offers to make her a vampire, but she turns him down over and over again and he watches her die, always there to hold her in his arms. At times when he would find her, she belonged to other men, had husbands and a child at one point. It hurt him beyond belief to lose her each time, to have her not fully love him and accept him. (I don't understand how he could do this for centuries and endure her rejecting him, I don't know why the heroine did it, she loved him, he should have explained better and she would have accepted the Dark Gift). Now in the present, she has been drawn to him this time, and she has memories of her past lives and Dominic, though she can't understand what these thoughts mean. He reveals it to her eventually, and she fights it and rejects his gift again. Will he take the choice away from her? Will he give her up for good? I felt something was missing with this book, it was too restrained, the hero held back his passion too much, and the romance was weaker for it. It was still a well-crafted story, but less romantic/passionate. The resolution at the ending came too quick, wasn't what I expected. Rating: 3/5 stars, I prefer the vampire universes created by Angela Knight and Nina Bangs.
