I was able to get my hands on the manuscript for Streetwise -- it is one of the launch titles of a new series, Black Star Crime, that will be on sale in August 2008.  Unfortunately, for now, this will only be available in the UK.

For those that like a suspenseful/crime read but also like a quick read, this is perfect. It is a series that follows a NY cab driver, a former detective who fled from Nigeria, as he's trying to make a new life for himself and his son. But his detective mind can't rest and when his friend is accused of a murder, he goes undercover to find out the truth -- even putting his life at risk.
