Island of Dreams by Katherine Stone, Warner 2000
More than one storyline was in this book.
There are two storylines going in this book and I felt a bit confused at times! Was it me?
Ana Finch decided to move to Denver from Boston because it felt like the right thing to do. She suffers from a rare genetic condition that will probably end her life at a young age. Once she meets Denver architect, Pierce Rourke, her life will go in a whole new direction.
Garek McIntyre is a lawyer that has been in love for many years with a woman he only saw from a distance in Venice, Italy. He does know she is Giselle Trouveau, a glass artist that has designed incredible art work for the Wind Chimes Hotels. The hotels have been designed by architect, Pierce Rourke where her work is displayed as a part of the hotel. Giselle and Garek meet in Venice where she is taking part in a festival and displaying her work. Because Garek is married they only walk and talk with the promise that if his marriage ends he will contact her. Since she did not hear from him after they return to the states she assumed his marriage has continued.
These two couples have a long, convuluted road to romance. The two stories connect but it was at times confusing (to me) what was going on. There is mystery about a little girl that everyone assumed died in a fire that draws these four people into crossing paths.
