The Bride and the Bargain(The Hunt for Cinderella) by Allison Leigh - SSE - Feb 08

ELLEN TOO
Format: Print Books

This is the last book in the series. To find out where the series began read my previous review of The Billionaire and His Boss.

Gray Hunt had to find himself a wife but had no idea where he could look for one when he ran into a suitable candidate (literally). He was out jogging when he came over a hill and saw a girl squatting in the path tying her shoe. The path was too narrow to go around her and he couldn't stop because of his momentum.

Amelia White had been deliberately jogging on the same path (although she didn't intend to get run over) so she could meet Gray. She had a score to settle with him and this was the only way she was going to meet him. Amelia had custody of her sister's three children because Daphne had suffered a stroke during labor and been in a coma for three weeks. But once she came out of the coma she did not recognize her children or her sister.

Daphne believed Gray was the father of her youngest child but he refused to acknowledge it. So Amelia was determined to make him pay. She agreed to a marriage of convenience with Gray without telling him about her plan to make him pay for refusing to help her sister after he got her pregnant. However things did not turn out the way she expected.

I enjoyed the book even though I had a bit of a problem with Amelia's actions.

December's MEMBER of the MONTH!

A true teacher is a person who, at the end of the school day, still likes children!

problem was with the father's ultimatum, and if my FIL had been like that, he wouldn't have seen much of me or his grandsons because I wouldn't have let them near him

It really frustrated me that they all let him away with it because it wasn't in character with their initial reactions
