Now that the move is officially over (even if the unpacking isn't!) I'm finally able to think clearly enough to focus on reading. I've picked up Real Vampires Get Lucky by Gerry Bartlett (my book buy for the month!) and it's amazing. I want so badly to finish it but the planets must not be aligned properly for me do so. Either the phone rings, the pup get's lonely and needs a cuddle or the newest interruption--my neighbors! Twice Sunday night I had to interrupt my reading to answer the door to the neighbor's kids because they'd hit their tennis balls over into my fenced patio. Then last night they were lobbing it against my door. *very angry face* And the former tenant of my apartment came knocking to see if I had any of her mail. Last I checked I wasn't a freaking postal worker--but whatever. *sigh*
Anyway, I said all this to say, "I'm reading. Truly, I am."
Fingers crossed that there are no more tennis ball incidents or annoying knocks on my door and I actually get to finish. Because seriously, I love Gerry Bartlett's Glory St. Clair books.

re: I'm reading
Oh gosh, isn't that annoying, when you finally have time to read getting constantly interrupted...I've been a horrible reading slacker this year, caught up with school and work and this and that, but I'm improving slightly this summer.
Good luck with your reading!
Interuptions
Hope you're getting settled into the new place and those interuptions become less frequent!

Reading slump/interruptons
Hi Jana, for some reason the last month or two I have been in a reading slump or have had interruptions myself. I am starting to pick things up a bit though and have been making myself sit down in the evenings since I don't have many tv shows to watch. I hope you get to relax with your books without those annoying neighbors!!
Never knew what was once warm is now a cold place.
I hate when I don't have
I hate when I don't have time to read. Reading is my out and without I feel crazy.

Moonsong~I know what you mean, entirely. I annoy myself when it gets to the point that I have to "make" myself read. I love to read. So I don't understand why I'd ever have to make myself do it! lol
Star~Exactly. Reading and writing have always been my outlets. I know I'm really screwed up when I can't do either of them.
