Emily Townsend buys and fixes up a house as a Bed & Breakfast in Paradise. There is a B and B across the street names This Side of Paradise so she names her's The Other Side of Paradise. A man on a motorcyle comes to rent a room before she is open but she needs the money so she rents him a room that is finished. He looks like a man who is wanted for a murder that occurred in her house fifteen years ago.
However Matthew Steele is in town to find out more about the murder and winds up keeping Emily and himself from being murdered also. He uncovers a group of men called the Avengers, a vigilante group of grown men. The woman who was murdered in the house was an FBI agent and Matthew has come to find out what happened to her and why the people in the town think a certain person murdered her. That person disappeared after her murder. He wants to know what happened to him also.
Emily and Matthew fall in love, of course and solve the mystery but only after almost getting killed.
I've read 53 Harlequin
I've read 53 Harlequin books so far this year. I get the Suspense, HSH, Safe Harbor and now the Comtempory Romanace series. Up until the past few months I was getting Intrique and Love Inspired Suspence series. Now I have many books to read and so I canceled those two since I had been doing other things like knitting instead of reading books. I have saved almost all of the books and have plastic containers and bookcases full of books. I loan them out and give them away and still have a ton of them. Luckily I have all of the ones I have read this year. About ten years ago I started listing books and authors that I read for each year. When you read as much as I do, you tend to forget if you have read a certain book or not until you see the cover. I've written reviews on only 3 of the 53 so far so I have a way to go!
