This book is Venge Leidolf's story, who is the son of Risk (the hero of Unbound). Twins Kara (Unbound) and Kelly (Guardians's Keep) make an appearance. Venge, a hellhound, and Geysa, a Valkyrie, soon learn that opposites do attract, even if they are sworn enemies. Although they believe they are destined to be apart and the obstacles seem insurmountable, love perseveres. Both Venge and Geysa embark on a journey to find out what is really important. A compelling story overall.
