Description & Critique:

When Quinn Everard blackmails Danielle Hammond into designing and creating a necklace for a rare and beautiful stone, little do they know what is awaiting them.  A fierce attraction that neither one of them wants considering that Quinn hated Howard Blackstone and Danielle is not too friendly with Quinn ever since he gave her work negative reviews.  The problem is that Quinn is hiding something from Danielle that could very well come between any chance of happiness that this oddly matched couple has.

This is book 4 of the Diamonds Down Under mini-series.  Another story that just blew me away.  I loved every second of this story.

This story was rich not only for the leading man and leading lady but it went a long way to moving the overall storyline along and preparing us for Book 5.

I loved the fact that although Quinn didn’t hurry and admit what was happening between him and Danielle, he also never resisted.  There was never any back and forth.  Things just continued to progress.  He brought her to his penthouse and he introduced her to his parents.  All natural progressions.  He didn’t try to hide her.

Both of these characters were likeable and neither did anything that we could hate them for or dislike them for.  Even the budding love story between Sonya, Danielle’s Mom, and Garth made me happy.  Sonya was a woman who sacrificed everything for others, it’s her turn to find a little happiness.  There is another subplot but I won’t mention it here in case others have this book in their TBR.  I don’t want to spoil it.  It was a nice wrap up to the story and left me very much looking forward to sinking my teeth in Book 5.

Just a note in passing… The sexy chest on the cover certainly did no harm to the enjoyment of this book.  I have to admit to taking a few pauses to admire the male on the cover.  Blush….

Again, I ask one question.  Why the title?  Satin?  Where does that come in?

I highly recommend this book and the mini-series.
