• Cynthia, an IT geek, needs an escort to an old classmate’s wedding. Not because she wants to impress anyone personally, but she doesn’t want the people in her village to hurt her mother by saying negative things about Cyn. Cyn’s flatmate, Lisa, gives Cyn a makeover for the occasion.
• Max , an architect who never dates a woman more than three times, is Lisa’s boss. He agrees to be the escort and is pleasantly surprised by his ‘client’.
Because of car trouble, they spend the night in the hotel where the wedding takes place. After that night, Max can't forget Cyn.
I especially liked the scene where Cyn has to save Max’s computer files because of a virus. He’s so sure of himself in every way, but Cyn’s definitely the superior when it comes to computers. Then there's the scene beside the Thames involving a lamp post.

Hi Amy,
When I read that scene I kept thinking, They're not really going to…?
Oh Amy, I'm all upset about the fires burning in northern California. I hope they're out and the smoke has cleared before you come this way. Yesterday, when I left work, I could not see the mountains at all. Visibility was less than two miles. It was so eerie here. By the time I got home the mountains were just a faint blue-brown silhouette against an orange-brown sky. Today, on the way home, their tips were barely visible above the smoke shrouded valley. The scene reminded me of an old Chinese watercolor.
THis one sounds good. We
