This is book three - and Menolly's story - in the Otherworld Series. Menolly is a Vampire, which has kind of helped keep the short-circuiting of her half-Fae blood inherited talents down to a minimum. But the memories of how she was changed over have haunted her mind for a long time. Now she must face her sire . . . her tormentor, stake a claim on her own life and sever all blood ties to him. This was a very powerful, emotionally driven story. It definitely has me anticipating the next story in the series, Dragon Wytch.
