Navy Husband by Debbie Macomber

Format:

My 32nd read from the Harlequin family.

I finished this a few days ago while at work, and handed it off to the co-worker who got me hooked on Debbie to begin with.  Since I didnt have in in my hand, I forgot all about it till just now.

The Book:

I, Shana Berrie, am my sister's official navy "parenting plan." That means I'm in charge of adorable Jazmine until my sis returns. But—surprise!—nine-year-olds have lots of opinions, including ones on my love life (or lack thereof ). Now she's trying to set me up with our family friend, Adam Kennedy. Excuse me—Lieutenant Commander Adam Kennedy. So he's great looking and very helpful (if dictatorial), but I am not in the market for a navy husband.

My Take:

This is a very good book.  Very real, I think.  Shana has been burned. she is starting a new life and trying to heal.  Plus she is trying to bond with the neice she barely knows, while her widowed sister is away on Sea Duty for 6 months.

Watching both women trying to move on, and resist falling for new men in their lives, while putting themselves back together is very touching.
