Trying to catch up on my Harlequin reads....here is # 33 

A while back a friend sent me a box of old Harlequin and Silhouette books that had belonged to her mother.  She found them in a box in her fathers attic, and decided to send them to me.  So far i have 2 boxes full.  this particular book was published in 1994, way before I started reading romance novels.

Aurora discoverd that crash landing had been a picnic compared to teaching an ancient warrior abhout women's lib. Oh, the brute had his charming moments--infact, he was nearly imposssible to resist. And that was the problem.

My Take:

BEWARE OF POSSIBLE SPOILERS.... 

The blurb i copied (above), is pretty vague.  Aurora is a Captain in the US Navy. The plane she was flying, was struck by lighning and she and her co-pilot crash-landed in to 2nd century, Roman occupied (possibly) Iraq.

I wasnt sure how this was going to work out.  I mean did they really travel back in time? or was she unconcius in some military hospital, and dreaming of this big adventure? Either way, how was she going to going to get back to the future?   I guess the only way you are going to find out, is to grab this book when I put it up for adoption.

It is pretty good reading.  I just had to remember the dominearing alpha male was a product of his time, place and position.   He had a hard time dealing with a 20th century, hard headed, liberated woman, and she had to deal with a 2nd century chauvinistic, dominant Roman warrior.

This is a new author for me.  I may have to hunt down more of her books.
