176. Heather Graham Pozzessere ~ Forever My Love ~ MIRA (1990)
This was a good story, one that I read a few years ago. I was fairly certain that I had read it before, and remembered a bit of the beginning, but that was it... but I sure didn't remember that H.G. Pozzessere wrote it ~ I had thought it was Sandra Brown that had written the one that I read ages ago... but nope, it was HGP. Huh... good to know.
For my personal tastes there was too much of a "I'm a woman and don't have to listen to a man" feeling about the story ~ especially the first half... but neither was Brent all that good about talking to Kathryn. Seems that these two had a lot of communication problems 'cause they sure didn't hate each other... they just dealt misconceptions, misunderstandings and martyrdom. For the most part I enjoyed this story; I'm not going to be keeping it, but I'm glad that I laid to rest my misconceptions... about who the actual author was.
RATING:
Excellence: Good to Great ~ 2.5 stars

FROM the BACK:
FIRE IN THE NIGHT
Kathryn O'Hara knows there's been an explosion, but she doesn't know if Brent is alive or dead. Sinking into a hot bath to calm her shattered nerves, she doesn't see the intruder, only feels his viselike grip on her body, his strong hand over her mouth....
Brent McQueen ~ devoted father, Kathryn's ex-husband ~ pulls his shocked and naked ex-wife close to him. He is very much alive. And a little desperate. A faceless killer is playing cat and mouse, stopping at nothing to retrieve a stash of stolen diamonds. Diamonds that Brent claims he knows nothing about.
For Brent ~ and now for Kathryn ~ life has never seemed more precious...nor their passion for each other so totally beyond control.

Hi Kathy, I've got a few
Hi Kathy, I've got a few really old ones by HG, and thought i recognised this title, but on checking, nope, don't have this one., but the ones i do have have love in the title, so i guess that's what threw me.
One Rode West is a completely different older one i found(no love in title), that i'm really looking forward to reading one day. It also helps that Cady really enjoyed it.

Sometimes these older books are hidden treasures....
If you'd like, I can send this book to you. It's just going to go up on my Extras list.... speaking of which, I've got a fair number of extras. If you're interested I can send a list. They're taking up room that I could use for my TBR... *sigh*
it's reaching crisis proportions here! LOL....
