Back Cover:

Can one passionate night mend a marriage?
Luc Sarrazan's marriage to Star had been hasty and brief. They separated almost immediately and Star disappeared, but Luc never filed for divorce.
Eighteen months later, Luc tracks Star down— fearing she's involved in a fraud. When he discovers that Star is the mother of twins, he feels doubly deceived!
Luc demands his price: he will have the fraud charge dropped if Star will spend just one last time in his bed. But he's not prepared for the cost of that fleeting taste of passion— the morning after, he wants more...even to mend their marriage!

Favourite Scene: (I love how they are welded together)

Afterwards, the first thing she was conscious of was the silence. Luc was still holding her, every damp, hard, muscular line of him welded to her smaller, slighter frame. For a moment she luxuriated in that feeling of intimacy and closeness. Then her mind awakened again, and with a sinking heart she recognised her own weakness.
'Star...' Luc husked in an indolent tone of satiation. 'It's never been like that for me.

Another Fav Scene:

'D'accord...OK, now that you've given me the benefit of seeing what's on offer from every conceivable angle, I want the T-shirt off. And forget the sofa. I want you in this bed for the rest of the night,' Luc spelt out with crystal-clear clarity.

One More Fav Scene:

And around dawn Luc had finally seen the error of his ways. Under no circumstances was he prepared to wait until the end of the summer to discover their ultimate fate as a family. And the solution to that problem was so simple that Luc could not credit he had taken so long to see it. He had to make Star fall in love with him again. Then a nuclear bomb wouldn't shift her from his side...

My Review:

Wow, I knew I had read this one when it first came out a few years ago, but when I saw it again I wanted to reread it because I remembered it being good.  I am going to file this one under "KEEPER".  It was so passionate.  The heroine was strong and her actions showed that she was strong enough to deal with a lot of crap even though she was 20 years old.  She was mature.  The passion was crazily intense.  The hero's jealousy and possessiveness landed them back in bed in a very steamy way.  I fell a bit in love with the hero because he was so intense!  I had so many favourite moments in this book.  And hey, bonus, there was fidelity during a long split, yay to no adultery.

My Rating: 5/5 stars, pure keeper

Throwing in another fav

Throwing in another fav scene....

I love how the heroine spoke to EVERYONE including her mom and the hero's aunt about how she thought her husband cheated on her on their WEDDING NIGHT.  It's hilarious.

'Whatever happens, we will both support her. It’s just a little unfortunate mat she hates the sight of me,’

'Mostly because she too thinks you went off to Gabrielle on our wedding night,' Star admitted reluctantly.
Luc dealt her a riveted glance.
'And Emilie thinks that too, which is the only reason why she agreed not to tell you about Venus and Mars being bom,' Star added in a craven undertone. 'Now I don't have a single secret left that you don't know about...isn't that good?'
Luc had the appearance of a male being torn in two different directions. Between strangling her fast and strangling her slowly. Then a muscle jerked at the corner of his hard, compressed mouth and suddenly he gave vent to a grudging groan of grim appreciation.
'You vented your grief liberally... every where with every possible person?'

Hi Janet

This one does sound good. I love the welded scene too but I love the one about Luc not wanting to wait for his family even more. Love that determination to get her back.

I decided to check catelog of the library that I like. Bummer, they did not have this one but they did have The Mistress Wife that you hate.

Aw pooey Margie.  :(

Aw pooey Margie.  :(  Keep looking out for this title, put it on your wish list and keep one eye open for it.

And lol....  don't read the Mistress Wife!  Lol...  I'd be tempted to do the library a favour and toss it in the garbage..  ouch to the adultery.  Run in the opposite direction!   (you know, really it wasn't THAT bad of a book, it packed huge emotional punch and was so intense... but just as you feel the love and passion intensely... you feel the BETRAYAL and DISILLUSIONMENT even more so and the hurt!  Talk about a painful read)   Two months later, 200 books later, and I still shudder at the title.
