The Sheikh Surgeon's Proposal by Olivia Gates, Mills and Boon Medical, February 2008

book coverNow with her mother gone, Jay (Janaan) Latimer is free to explore far off lands. She decides to explore Damhoor and see the way and culture of her father. But she decides to do this as a doctor for Global Aid Organization (GAO). In Damhoor she meets Sheikh Malek Aal Hamdaam. Not only does she find out he is a sheikh but also a surgeon and Minister of Health and later she finds out he is the crowned prince. Even though they love each other with such intensity, nothing can come of it because with him being the crowned prince a suitable bride will be chosen for him and it is his duty to produce an heir. Can these two somehow have a future together?

This book takes the seduction down a few notches. Malek is seductive in other ways. His dedication to his people and work add to his appeal. Jay was great. She didn't hold back her opinions just because he was a sheikh. The story was thick with emotional intensity. I even think my eyes were even misting up in the last few chapters.

Sounds Good...

Maybe I'll look for this one.  Oops... sold out and not available... except at Mills and Boon.  I surfed their site tonight.  Some covers are nice but some... not so much!  In a way I like their Desire 2 for 1 but on the other hand, I like to pick and choose my books so...

Great review.

Loved this one.  Great blog

Loved this one.  Great blog too Christa.  I loved Jay and some of his responses to her too.  I have to look at ther Mills and Boon site.  I have trying to be patient hoping to get all 6 Medicals here and not pay the shipping but I am tired of waiting.  I am soooo tempted.
