His Mistress By Arrangement, Natalie Andersen- HP- June/08
His one-month mistress...
Jake Rendel is a successful millionaire who works and plays hard--unlike Emma Delaney, who's stifled by her uninspiring job. So Jake makes Emma a propostion to shake off her prim-and-proper image: for a month, they'll pretend to have a steamy affair!
Emma's out of her depth--and things quickly get passionate in private as well as in public. Soon the girl-next-door is wishing the month of mistress make-believe will never end....

While i'm not normally a presents reader, due to the cruel H's often found in them, this one was very good, and the characters, yes, including the H, were very easy to care about. Definately my kind of story and H. NFM

That's exactly
That's exactly the reason I don't read most HP's. I can't stand the arrogant jerks that change their ways right at the end of the story. I used to read them a lot. I like the older ones still. I don't understand why they had to change. Glad this one was so good.

Hi Deb,
That's exactly what most of the H's are like in most of these books, to me, arrogant jerks.
I was weaned on HRs & HPs. But my reading interests have really grown since i started reading these. Not to mention, times have changed and woman no longer have to put it with that kind of treatment from men. And i refuse to spend good money trying to find the rare ones i'd enjoy in a line where most of them would give me grey hair and chipped teeth.

Well this one was a light
Well this one was a light and fun read. The relationship between the H/h was angst free and there was genuine caring as well as passion. I really enjoyed this book!
Hi Kathy
I just got my order yesterday and have this one now so I will be starting it real soon. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it. You might want to check out Lucy Monroe's Presents. I like her H's.

Hi Kathy!
I'm so glad you enjoyed my book - it was a lot of fun to write and its so nice to find readers out there like you enjoying it :)
I always thought Jake was a pretty great guy ;) I love my heroes to have a real sense of humour - and to be vulnerable too (of course, ALL heroes are vulnerable tho aren't they?)
Was it Margie writing about Lucy Monroe? I totally agree - and she writes for the 'Modern Heat' strand of Modern/Presents as well as the straight Presents - the 'Heat' strand is where you'll find those lighter stories - the tone is meant to be flirty and fresh.
Anyway, I hope you'll swing by my blog next week when I'm launching a competition for my newest release (which won't be in the US til DECEMBER - so this is a chance to get one really early!) www.natalie-anderson.blogspot.com
Thanks again Kathy!

Hi Kathy

Margie :)
Hi Natalie and your
Hi Natalie and your welcome, I enjoyed your book very much, and look forward to trying more of yours, especially if you have more H's like Jake, yum.
I'm not sure who mentioned Lucy Monroe's presents, could be it was Margie, or possibly ElleJay(who mostly reads the presents line)? Either way, with all these recommends for LM, guess i'll just have to try one of hers.
Thanx, I swung by, and entered your tear-jerker movies contest.
Thanx for stopping by, and sorry it took me so long to respond, but my middle son & dil just made me a grandma, and we've been very busy thru everything.
TC,
