Gabe Thorne meets Rebecca Hamilton when he brings his pregnant teenage sister in for a doctor's appointment. Gabe's Mother died giving birth to his sister when he was a teenager. Then his fiance and baby were killed by a drunk driver on the eve of his wedding.  Gabe and his sister, Amy, have never been close but  Amy runs to him as a place of refuge. She does not want him to contact their father.  Rebecca has always been a smart person but she doen't have many social skills when it comes to dealing with men. She was raped when she was young and the only person she ever told was her former fiance. He decided he didn't want to deal with her and her issues.  Rebecca strongly suspects that Amy has been raped as well. The three of them must work together in order for Amy to have a healthy baby.

This is a book where three people must learn to open up and express their feelings and their secrets. They must learn to trust in each other and in the love that may be growing between Gabe and Amy, Amy and her baby, and Gabe and Rebecca. This is a thought provoking with well-developed  characters with whom you can conect.
