as despite the fact that I haven't blogged it yet, I have actually managed to read my fifth double oh book this weekend, and given that the deadline was tomorrow, I feel I'm doing okay, having a couple of books leeway is good!
(Of course if they managed to add an extra month to the year I might actually make it to 1161 for the year and thereby make the 3000 book mark since the challenge started, but to make that by the end of December I would have to read 660 in the next six months, and that seems like I'd be pushing DH's patience just that little bit too far
what d'y'all think?
)
How are the rest of you doing with your mid-year totals? Happy? Unhappy? I know we could all be doing better, but there's no point in worrying about it, if you're worrying you're not reading!
Which reminds me that I haven't yet met today's quota!

If I maintain my current
If I maintain my current pace I will exceed my personal goal set for the year, but I have to maintain my current pace. Of course, since this is my first challenge anything I read surpasses what I did last year.

January's Member of the Month
Oh, exciting Sadhbh, good
Oh, exciting Sadhbh, good luck with the reading! Give 'er. And hopefully that DH of yours will just be patient with you. It'll all be over in six months anyway. Until it starts again in January.... *wink*
If I backlog blog the other 100-130 books I read and didn't review in January, February, March... and if I keep up reading 90-100 books a month, I'll hit 1075, so I'm feeling pretty good about hitting the four digit goal myself. (I've had month totals of 104, 122, and now probably around 95, I'm not sure what this month is, I've got a bit of a backlog. I know this month has been busier than last though, so it's lower).
Really Sadhbh, it's all your fault that I'm aiming for this. I wasn't thinking any bigger than 500 and letting the book count fall as it pleases, but then I read you had a goal of 1000 and that seemed like such a pretty, well-rounded number to have off in the distance as my goal. *big grin* It's fun.
My numbers are going to
My numbers are going to be lower this year. Just seems like my reading time has reduced a lot. I am still hoping for 200 - which seems doable as I finished off June with 102 books, but I had my lowest total yet this month only 12 books. I feel bad as the challenge is for a good cause, but sometimes life does have to come first. I figure 200 is still a good number and a decent goal, I think my highest is around 260, so it is not too much lower. Good luck hitting 1000.

This is my first year doing
This is my first year doing the challenge and my personal challenge was for 100 books and I am at 80 right now so I am doing good. I just have to put time aside to read some of the books that I have in my tbr pile even though I am adding books every month to my tbr pile.

Well, I just
broke fifty tonight in my reviews although I think my count is actually closer to sixty I just haven't had the motivation to review the books I have read.
My goal for the year is just to break 100 so I am right on track.
Congrats on those amazing numbers, you rock!
Totals...
I am ahead of last year by the end of June, by 2 whole books!! But my goal is to read more books so at this point I'm doing okay!
As Cady said sometimes life just takes us away from reading & you just have to go with it! I'm always reading when I should be doing other things, what can I say!!
When I look at the Challenge totals, we are not going to reach our goal. We need more readers and people posting their reviews. Come join us in the Challenge if you haven't already.
Take care, happy reading,

I am exactly the same as I
I am exactly the same as I was last year. At the end of June, 2007, I had 94 books read, and that's right where I am this year. Unfortunately, I also had all those books blogged, which I don't have this year.
My personal goal for this year is 250, which I'm not sure I'll make, but if I can even read 201 books this year I'll have exceeded last year.
