Hmm — I can think of more comfortable ways to get numb. Probably still hurt
just the same the next day

Sign
That sign would totaly discourage me from going anywhere in the area listed!!!! I love you pictures and look forward to them. Please keep it up.

Yeah another great photo!
I love your pictures also. Since we only do short hikes now this sign would definitly turn us around. Either way sounds too hard as my dh and I both have as much trouble going downhill as uphill these days.

H'm... hiking, huh?
Well, let's see. First off, I LOVE to hike. In fact, tomorrow we're going to Brown County State park to the hit the trails, but 24 km of physically demanding trail, on the incline, might be more than I'd bargain for! LOL!
BTW, the 'use at your own risk' part is hilarious. 'Comfortably numb' is definitely an oxymoron! Can you be comfortable and numb at the same time? I'm scratching my head....
You're pics are always great!

My favourite sign
We really regret not taking a picture last summer of a sign along the highway in British Columbia (now that we've moved, it's unlikely I'll see it again).
It read something like "Willie's Private Parts". I think I might have the name wrong....
Not sure I'd want to buy my auto parts there.

LOL, Donna!
Now that would be a traffic stopper!
We used to have a sign here for the store Dick's Sporting Goods: 'Come to Dick's for all your sporting needs'. I think it got pulled down because someone thought it sounded off-color. Imagine that. *Snort* Geez, some people have absolutely no sense of humor!

Couch potato
ROFL, Donna ... that must have caused a few near-accidents :)
Never mind hiking -- this 24 kms of physically demanding trail forms part of the annual Comfortably Numb running race each June. I tell ya ....the people in this town make me feel like an old couch potato no matter how hard I try to pretend otherwise!!

Thanks for the heads up Frenchie! I am totally honored by her review, especially since she hails from the region of Africa in which the book is set, and from where my hero comes.
