Hard Eight (A Stephanie Plum Novel)
In this, book 8 of the series, Stephanie is on an unusual case, all the while maintaining her steadfast devotion to Tastykakes.
Althought she's not a detective, Stephaine can't refuse to help a family friend whose daughter and granddaughter are missing. The trail leads to a particularly nasty crook Stephanie is warned to avoid. But what good is a warning if you can't ignore it? Pursued by a thug in a bunny suit, tormented by carefully placed snakes and giant spiders, Stephanie is determined to crack the case - - even if she blows up a few cars along the way.
JE is at her best in this one. I listened to this a few years ago, and it was just as funny this time around. I mean, really, can't you just picture how ridiculous men in bunny and bear suits will look driving around after you? And, like Steph, I would have driven right off the road if a tarantula(s) were left on the passenger seat. And when she mentions how the people drive in NJ --- she isn't exaggerating! Pick this one up and go along for the ride!

Loved this one!
And it's funny you should mention Jersey drivers - living right near the border of NJ and PA, whenever a driver does a stupid move, we usually look to see if it's a NJ license plate! (Sorry Jerseyites!
)

Absolutely!
I have to agree with you on that. I won't tell you what my hubby says about them
Unless we know them, of course.
