It doesn't matter how many of Lora Leigh's books that I read, each story is fresh and very much the story of the hero and heroine. How she manages this, after thirteen Breed stories alone I don't know, but it's true. Jacob and Faith's story is their own... not like anyone else's. The emotional content is also quite unique ~ it's as though Ms. Leigh merely sits back and lets the characters tell their own story: Magic, purely magic.
BTW, the image of the cover is larger than I usually use, but if I used a smaller size the really, really good looking guy on the front wouldn't show up near as well! So whaddya going to do? Resize it!
RATING:
Excellence: Excellent ~ 4.0 stars
Steaminess: Inferno {anything goes}
BOOK READ:
Lora Leigh; Wolf Breeds: Jacob's Faith; Ellora's Cave; TPB 2003
FROM the BACK:
They are a new breed, a new race. Engineered rather than born, trained rather than raised, and their unique genetics have created more than one surprise...
Jacob left Faith six years before, unaware that the mark he put on her also left her in an angony of sexual heat that never dimmed. Now Jacob and Faith are together again, but surprises lurk around every corner and dangers as dark and deadly as their very creation surround them in more ways than one.
MY NOTES:
Another winner for Lora Leigh! One thing that I noticed is how often the male Breed leaves the female, thinking that if he gives into his desires that he's going to hurt her. Silly male... don't these guys know by now that their females are more than able to handle being desired? being loved? And that they're not necessarily the delicate creatures that they may appear to be. But learn they do, and Jacob's journey is no different in that respect. Of course it doesn't help that the males get extremely protective of their mates... it's not a mental thing, it's instinctual... and one thing that the females have to realize is that when it comes to those that they males love, there is very little choice in their desire to protect. So it's a learning experience for both Jacob and Faith... and more, they have to deal with the attitudes of many in society that look upon the Breeds as sub-human... or in many cases, not human at all.
But as always, Lora Leigh has crafted an amazing story of the power of love and how two together are often more than a match against those that would destroy them. Excellent, excellent story!

April's mini challenge ~ It's Raining Men
- This story wouldn't exist without Jacob being who he is.
- Jacob was destined to be Faith's.
- I'm really not sure if he would suit me... although I'd be more than willing to give it a try!
- Actually yes he does... very much so... can you say HOT?
- Hmmm, that'd be hard... it'd have to be someone that looks just like the cover guy (*drool*)

Hot cover!
That is a very hot cover. Lora Leigh's books have some of the hottest cover's I have ever seen. The guy on the cover reminds me alittle of Brendan Frasier(sp) from his Mummy movies.

lol yeah I'm a bit of a movie buff. I have also been known to sometimes picture real life actors and actresses as some of the characters in books.
